1. Download and Install Oracle VirtualBox:
First, you must download and install Oracle virtual box to set up the RAC environment. If you already have the VirtualBox installed on your Windows machine, proceed with the next steps otherwise you can follow the article Oracle VirtualBox download and install.
2. Download and Install Oracle Linux 7.5:
Now you have downloaded Oracle VirtualBox on your Windows machine. The next step is to download the Oracle Linux 7.5 ISO. Please follow the instructions given in my article Download Oracle Linux 7.5 ISO.
Well, done! Now we are ready to Install OEL 7.5 on our Virtual Machine. The article Oracle Linux 7.5 Installation will help you to do so. We must install VirtualBox Guest Editions to make everything smoother and friendlier between your VirtualBox and your computer/laptop.
3. Create a shared Folder:
In VirtualBox, you can share files or folders between the host operating system (your computer) and the guest operating system(server created in VirtualBox) to facilitate easy file transfers and data sharing. 4. Network Card Configuration for NODE1:
Now we have to perform Network card configuration for NODE1.
5. Create Users, Groups and Directories:
We must create Oracle and Grid users and the related groups & directories. Please follow the article users, groups, and directories for the same.
6. Disable selinux and firewalld services:
Please follow the article Disable SELinux and Firewalld Services to disable SELinux and Firewalld services in your VirtualBox.
7. Install the required Library Package for the Oracle database:
Please follow the steps mentioned in the article Oracle database preinstallation rpm 19c download to install the required library package for Oracle database and Oracle RAC.
8. ASM Libraries installation and configure Oracle ASM for RAC:
We must install the ASM Libraries and configure Oracle ASM for the RAC environment. Please follow the article Install & Configure Oracle ASM.
9. Clone the Node1:
Clone the Node1 and create another node called node2 by following the article Clone Virtual Machine.
10. Network Card Configuration for NODE2:
Please follow the article VirtualBox Network Card Configuration for Node2 and perform the same.
11. Hostname Change for both nodes:
Now change the hostnames for both node1 and node2.
12. Create a Shared Storage:

13. Disk Partition Creation:
Now create the Disk Partition.
14. ASM disk Creation:
Create the ASM disk by following the article ASM disk creation.
15. Grid Software Installation:
Install the Grid Software by following the article Install Grid Software.
16. Database Software Installation:
Please proceed with the Oracle database RAC 19c binary installation.
17. Database creation:
Create the RAC database using DBCA.
