A Shared Folder is useful when you want to copy something from your host machine to the virtual box or from the virtual box to your host computer. In this article, I have described how to create shared folder in VirtualBox with the screenshots.

1. Select the node1 and click on settings. Under the settings section click on shared folder and add a new shared folder. Alternatively from running node1, you can find the shared folder settings option.

2. Choose the desired location to create the shared folder. Here I have selected my D drive and under D drive I have created a folder called staging :
3. Under the Staging folder I have created another folder called Linux as I have created a Linux machine and this Linux folder I will use as a shared folder between my host machine and virtual machine.
4. Select the Read-only, Auto-mount and Make Permanent(If present) checkboxes and click on OK.
5. Congrats! Your shared folder is now ready. Click OK to save the changes.
